For over a decade, top celebrities, businessmen and PGA Tour pros have come together for the annual Gary Player Invitational in support of underprivileged children’s education. The 2012 Gary Player Invitational will be a one day pro-am event played at Champions Retreat in Augusta, Georgia.

Welcome to South Africa’s premiere charity golf event. This year sees the 13th playing of this extraordinary event, which brings together professional golfers from the PGA & Champions Tours, celebrities and leading businessmen from around the world. To date the GPI, South Africa has raised more than R25 million for children’s charities, and will take place at Zimbali Resort & Golf Club.
Golfing icon and grand slam winner, Gary Player, will once again host the event and will lead off an impressive field of well known personalities from the worlds of sport and entertainment on 24th January 2011. Last year leading golfing and non-golfing celebrities from around the world joined forces with local amateur golfers to raise more than AED 1.2m for four local charities together with The Player Foundation.
