2009 Marks Another Sucessful GPI in Europe
The Gary Player Invitational (GPI), was held at Archerfield Links last week. The tournament was moved from its normal home, Wentworth, specifically to mark the South African’s success in East Lothian back in 1959.
Player hosted an exclusive sponsor’s day at Muirfield on Monday, July 6, with the pro-celebrity event taking place the next day at Archerfield Links, followed by a gala dinner in Archerfield House. This tournament raised significant funds to benefit The Player Foundation, whose mission is to provide hope, help and healing to underprivileged children and impoverished communities.
