Impressive Entertainment Lineup at Fancourt as Golf meets Glamour
![]()
The 11th Gary Player Invitational, presented by Coca-Cola, at Fancourt later this week will play host to South Africa’s top artists performing live at an array of stylish functions across the four day event.
Widely acknowledged as the tightest rock outfit in South Africa, the visceral energy that Prime Circle gives off on stage is evident to anyone who has had the privilege of seeing them live.
As a result of the Gary Player Invitational, Presented by Coca-Cola, Prime Circle have decided to perform a musical collaboration with an illuminating new young star with a heart wrenching tale of survival.
At the tender age of 24, NOMFUSI has shared the stage with some of the biggest local and international names in the entertainment world, including Hugh Masekela, Judith Sephuma and American gospel star Bebe Wynans. She was recently nominated by Metro FM in the categories of Best Female Artist and Best African Pop Album and has been invited to the Montreal Jazz Festival 2011.
In addition to opening for K’Naan in Calgary during a 4-week coast-to-coast tour of Canada in July, she completed a European tour in early June, which included a prime time slot at the Dunya Festival in Rotterdam. Nomfusi will perform at the Gary Player Invitational, Presented by Coca-Cola in George this week, along with the George Child Welfare Choir. Guests will be treated to a first-time performance of a brand new track in a collaboration with Prime Circle which will rock the entertainment world.
Ross Learmonth of Prime Circle said “We fell in love with Nomfusi from the moment we met her. She exudes a sense of magic and her touching story resonates through her uplifting voice. We are grateful to Gary Player who brought us together through this philanthropic event so that we can make musical history”
Critically-acclaimed and multi-award-winning Afropop sensation FreshlyGround join the line up at Fancourt this week and promise to excite and thrill guests with their upbeat energy at the Saturday night party presented by SAP.
Top local DJ’s Sasha Martinengo and Koula will mix it up for the dancing die-hards off the golf course at the Exclusive Heineken lounge and Riaad Moosa offers some comic relief to the serious elements of what this fundraiser represents, with the rhythmic chants of 1st Project adding the final ingredient to this entertainment smorgasbord.
