Player Profiles: Bill Longmuir

Bill Longmuir

After a stellar career on the regular Tour, Bill Longmuir finished second on the money list in his rookie year in 2003 when he won the first two of his six Senior Tour titles, the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open and the De Vere PGA Seniors Championship.

In 2004 he won the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open, followed with victory in The Mobile Cup. He returned to the winner’s circle at the 2007 Midas English Seniors Open. Longmuir started the 2008 season with victory at the DGM Barbados Open, adding seven top-5 finishes that season for a fifth place finish on the 2009 Order of Merit – his best campaign since 2004. Although Longmuir has not enjoyed a successful season on the European Senior Circuit this season, a joint eighth finish at the Scottish Senior Open at Fairmont St Andrews propelled him into the top-50 in the European Senior Tour rankings.
