The Gary Player Invitational aims to raise as much funds as possible for The Player Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide quality education for underprivileged children and strengthen impoverished communities plagued by disease and crime.

Gary Player established The Player Foundation in 1983 to provide quality education, nutrition, medical care and extra-curricular activities to the less fortunate children living in rural areas of South Africa. Today, through several annual events staged in the USA, Asia, the UK and South Africa, the foundation has expanded its charitable efforts to support underprivileged children’s education globally.

The Player Foundation is headquartered in Palm Beach, Florida and operates as a 501 C (3) non-profit organization.
